ExioRio International Relations Aide Luna Juliana of Mayor Eduardo Paes’ Office Talks “Cops and Robbers” with Piper in Rio de Janeiro.

As Hip Hop Mogul Russell Simmons and Actor, Hip Hop Mogul & Artist, and Producer LL Cool J, launched their new anti-violence project at Ricker’s Island Prison in New York City, Playwright, Hip Hop Artist, Songwriter and Law Enforcement Officer, Jinho “The Piper” Ferreira met with officials of Rio de Janeiro’s Mayor Eduardo Paes to share his “Cops and Robbers” project in a cultural exchange meeting. Piper’s body of work that now includes a book, CD and EP has been presented to jail inmates and youth groups as a way to change the youth culture of violence and eliminate teenage sex trafficking through drama therapy and “Believe,” the latest single from the “Cops and Robbers” EP.

On the heels of Rio, Piper launched the six week run of his 17 character one man show “Cops and Robbers” that eloquently and intelligently evaluates the dynamics of media, law enforcement and community. The run is weekends only through September 17 to accommodate Piper’s day job as an Alameda County Deputy Sheriff.
